I never write in here, but I feel it's fitting now.
So, as I was driving home from rehearsal today, at 45 mph, with all my windows down, and with Madonna's "Crazy For You" blasting from my speakers, I realized how excited I am for this summer. Being in a terriffic show with people who actually WANT to be there is going to be one amazing thing. Listening/singing to "Till We Reach That Day" and hearing ALL the parts tonight was just like, "WOW" because 2 weeks into blocking rehearsals at Centennial, we would have NEVER sounded like that. I'm so pumped for more crazy, weird times at Merry Ann's and in random parking lots and just in the kitchenette at the Busey Center. Those weird moments are exactly what make summer so special. And then Spain. First off, it's a trip and all second semester ever since Indiana for Easter got canceled, I've wanted to go on a trip so bad. Secondly, I'll finally be able to put Spanish into practicle use. Thirdly, food. Mmmm...can't wait for that most of all :). Of course, the car rides with friends, trips to Coldstone/Custard Cup, slumber parties, nights out for dinner, times at coffee shops, times at the park, movie nights, game nights, and soooo many other things are going to make this summer even more fantastic than the above two.
But then again, it's the beginning of the end. As much as everyone says "we'll keep in touch forever", the reality is so different. Eventually, the months will pass and people will simply drift apart. It won't be heart-breaking, it'll just be natural, and suddenly not having talked to a high school friend for a few months when you get to be a junior in college, won't seem so crazy. We'll all grow up, get smarter, make new friends, and move on with our lives. I hate it just as much as anyone and I'll do anything I can to not let that happen, but I know, inevitably, that it most likely will happen. The 6 some times I've moved, it's happened. The e-mails stop coming, the phone calls get rarer, and then things just end. The friendships not forgotten, though, which to me is what's important.
Most days, though, I feel overwhelmed. Especially with the college paper work and sign up dates. There's just so much to do and I'm constantly paranoid that I'm forgetting to send something in or forgetting to sign up for something. It suddenly like, "I have so many responsibilities". I also feel sad about leaving high school. I loved it- everything about it, even the horrible nights studying for AP Chem, and the nerve-wracking auditions, and the early morning Interact meetings. The bad times made the good so much better and I couldn't have asked for better classes, teachers, and students to share it with. It'll be hard to leave the yellow-tiled walls, the smelly P.E. lockers, and the insane teachers who make so mad for "the big unknown". But, I'm confident that these next four years will be a new kind of wonderful and I can't wait for them.

My little fossil's slowly breaking down...The battery needs replacement, meaning if I go somewhere in my baby it might stop and not turn back on again. This sucks cause I need to drop off my applicactions para trabajo. I think I want to work in a flower shop.
I'm reading The Namesake right now. So good. It's one of those books that you're happy it's so long because you can spend more time reading it. I sat up till 1 last night reading- so relaxing with the rain and all.
I met with a proff. of accounting at the U of I today for a "clue-in on U of I" thing. It was really interesting. She went to IU for undergrad so it was nice to hear two contrasting opinions about life here and life at IU. Basically, it would be the same thing at the undergrad level, it just seems that IU is more diverse and smaller. But....we'll see. I'll probably go here because the U of I is altogether a better school and they have a really good relationship with the business school in Barcelona.
Inspector Foyle season 3 is really good. You guys should check it out. My favorite episode has been "They Fought in the Fields". Currently, I'm watching 'A War of Nerves" and the title speaks for me because in it, they're trying to make sure Nazi bombs don't go off but cutting wires and stuff so it's super dangerous and I keep waiting for the handsome British soldier to get blown up. But, Srgt. Milner looks as amazing as always.
Outlines and calc left to finish... But don't despair. Ch. 8 outline due tues and ch.9 due friday

So...Business Expo today! Hmm it was interesting for the most part. I can't see myself in finance, but I can see myself in marketing international business or accountancy. We had the most insane student tour guide who wouldn't stop talking and who shook my hand quite a bit and felt very bad for not having introduced himself earlier. Mostly, the study abroad program seems amazing especially since they basically said anyone who wants to study abroad can and usually gets their first place choice. But then of course, my dad lectured me forever and ever and summed it up with "well, i guess it's up to you" and reassured me five times that even if i choose to live in a box, that's okay, but that i should still keep salary in mind. Oh my...
I can't figure out how to start my orb paper. Time to e-mail Weinberg!

My mom has gone insane. She's stocked up on SO much food. Aaah we have like 3 loaves of bread, 2 bags of banana chips, 1 huge bag of peanuts, 2 bags of organic chips, and stuff for dinner to last 4 days! Not to mention all the OTHER stuff we had before we bought all this stuff.
But snow days make me happy. Hmm...I could be doing a lot right now...but I really don't want to.

Ooo we'll see tomorrow. At this point- I'm still hoping for a part, but if my destiny is to be villager 3, so be it. Though some preformances bored me to tears, I was very impressed with the talents that people showed tonight and for some parts, its a huge toss up. I think the most frightening moment for me was realizing, yes, I do have to sing the Mrs. Potts song and somehow hit the F#.
I can't get "croutons loop de loop" out of my head and I really need to memorize some AP Bio stuff...
Though I think the musical will be fun, I also think that there's been waaaaaaaay too much hype around it for what its worth. It's been really easy to lose sight of what's important and in some ways, I'm kind of glad this is the end of an "era". Come end of April, I will feel the stress leaving my body once and for all. So...my cousin's friend invited me to his new years party and wants me to teach him how to dance? Haha, funny! He wanted to talk to me at church this morning, but hahah, Hania didn't get up! Typical.

I want a dog
I bought another article of clothing today! I got this really cool black polka dotted button down from Diverse. Snazzy. AND I got chocolate and soap from some family members. ALSO, my mom's best friend is an artist and she gave me this really artsy calender for '07. It's so artsy that you can't really figure out which page is what month, but I like it a lot.
Mom's cousin and her new husband are interesting. The husband talks A LOT. He's been to 26 states, so we chatted about that for a bit. Then, we got to see photos of the new house they're building, INCLUDING how they're wiring the electricity in their new home (oooo!). After that, photos of their honeymoon to the Dominican Republic were shown. Man, I want to go to the beach now.
Now, it's time to supper and eat tiramisu ice-cream.

Ohhhh, I have no initiative to do anything. All I want to do is laze around, eat ice-cream and potatos (not together), and go shopping. Mmm...it'll be a nasty shock to get back to the real world.
Today I have to go to my grandma's (my mom's mother) house where I'll be sooooo bored because all she does is ask me every five minutes if I want to at somthing. "Would you like a banana?" "No" "How about some sausage?" "No" "Oo! How about some hazlenuts?" "No, thank you". It gets to me after a while, so I tune the world out with my i-pod. Today, though, I have to meet my mom's cousin, Margaret, whom I've never met in my life. I have to see her today, though, because she just got married and it has been ordered that I meet her and her new husband. Mmm...great. BUT, then I get to go to see my mom's friend from highshcool, Paulina, and her daughter and DOG! I'm so excited. I love dogs. Tomorrow I'm going to go see Maya! Yaaaay, I can't wait. It'll be very exciting.
Hope everyone is having fun in Chambana or in other places. I sort of feel out of what's happening in town, kind of like I'm taking a hiatus from real life. I hope you all have a good New Years Eve and party hard!

New things today! I got my haircut, so it is muuuuuuch shorter and muuuuuuuuch more layered. I like it cause it's a lot easier to straighten and wash. AND it only cost me $11.00, styling included.
So, my cousin has this friend, Michal, who has renewed my faith in mankind. Though he is not really my type, he is so nice and such a gentleman. For example, he came over today and he brought me chocolates (this is the second time he's seen me). Then, we all went out to dinner for pizza (my pizza had sausage, tomato, green and red pepper, and cucumber) where he first, held the door open for me, and then told me that his FAVORITE movie is "A Walk to Remember". AND HE'S STRAIGHT! I was floored. Get a Polish guy, I tell you.
Tonight I'm spending the night at my aunt's house which should be fun, and then tomorrow we're going out to the city again and then I'm going to see some family friend and play with their dog. Much love and I miss you all a lot.

After over three days of travel, four plane rides, two car rides, a visit to three countries in one day, we finally made it to Poland. Thought we traveled from Chicago to New Jersey to Copenhagen to Vienna and finally to Warsaw, we made it to Ostrow! Thank you so much to all my friends who had their cell phones on/picked up the house phone and talked with me while I was freaking out in New Jersey. I basically spent the entire trip in freaked out silence and tears. Those days were w/out a doubt stressful. However, now that we're here, I can RELAX. I'll give you all the details on the horrendous trip when I return.
Decent haul for Christmas this year. My two faves. were my new RAZOR phone and DKNY Be Delicious perfume in Green Apple. There were plenty more awesome ones, though.
Poland is amazing. I've taken a ton of pictures so far and I just feel so happy and at home here among the pre-war buildings and cobbleston streets. I can't wait to get out and shop cause the jewelry here is cheap and beautiful. All our days are very packed and for New Years, Maya and I are partyin it up in downtown Krotzin with the fireworks. I'll take photos.
PLEASE write me e-mails or whatnot because I would love to hear from all of you.
It's really cold and I've fallen in love with my i-pod.
My cousin has lost the do-rag.
